The HepaRG cell system

The HepaRG™ cell system is a human hepatic stem cell line, unique in its capacity to give rise to fully mature adult hepatocytes. The characteristics, phenotype and drug metabolizing performance of the HepaRG™ is far superior to other notable immortal cells line (e.g., HepG2 or HuH7) as well as to iPSC-derived hepatic cells.

HepaRG™ cells, in many aspects including culture conditions and phenotype, are similar to attachment efficient primary human hepatocytes.

Silensomes, human liver microsomes

Silensomes™ are human liver microsomes (subcellular fractions) in which specific Cytochrome P450 have been chemically neutralized, one per one.

This unique assay system is used for the direct calculation of the fm (fraction metabolized or relative contribution to metabolism) required by regulatory bodies globally (e.g.USFDA Drug-Drug Interactions - Guidance of Industry).
