New approach for human-relevant genotoxicity with metabolic activation using HepaSH
A recent study by @Masayuki Mishima and colleagues from @National Institute of Health Sciences (NIHS) and @Central Institute for Experimental Medicine and Life Science (CIEM) shows that HepaSH® stable human hepatocytes enable reliable detection of DNA damage using a γH2AX-based assay under human-relevant metabolic conditions.
With consistent enzyme expression and reduced variability compared to primary human materials, HepaSH® offers a promising alternative to traditional rat S9 systems for genotoxicity assessment.
